Implementing regime

An implementing regulation is an arrangement where employers reimburse their employees for specific versions of sunglasses with or without strength. With us, as an orderer, you can choose which versions of sunglasses you want to reimburse for your employees. We provide an implementing regulation that clearly states which versions are and are not reimbursed. The order form that your employees bring to the store includes this information to prevent opticians from deviating from these versions. In addition, we inform employees in advance about additional costs in case of deviation from the chosen versions, so that they can make informed choices and prevent unexpected surprises. Our implementation scheme offers employers the opportunity to control costs and provide employees with the desired sunglasses that suit their specific needs and budget.

Amount regulation

In our amount scheme, the employer sets a fixed amount for the reimbursement of sunglasses for his or her employees. If an employee opts for more expensive sunglasses than the agreed amount, the employee may be charged the additional fee. It is important that employees are aware of this option before making a different choice to prevent unexpected costs. Does an employer have to reimburse sunglasses?

Please note that it is good to know that many employers reimburse the full amount of the glasses, because this falls under the health and safety legislation and good employment practices. In the Netherlands, it is mandatory for employers to offer their employees a safe and healthy workplace. If it is found that sunglasses with or without strength can help with the complaints, the employer is obliged to reimburse the costs for the sunglasses.

Information about personal contribution payments

If the employee has to pay a personal contribution, it does not have to be paid in the store. In that case, the receipt always shows a final amount of €0.00. After delivery of the glasses, the employee receives an email from us with a payment link for a Mollie payment. The amount must be paid within 14 days. This is how we offer an easy and safe way to pay for your own contribution.

Are sunglasses with or without strength tax deductible?

Yes, this is possible, but under certain conditions. After all, an occupational health facility always falls under the work costs scheme (WKR).
