What are boss glasses?

One boss's glasses is an occupational health provision according to article 20.1.9 of the Payroll Taxes Handbook. There is a targeted exemption for health and safety provisions that does not affect your free space under the work costs scheme. This concerns facilities that ensure the safety and health of the employee. The employee uses the facilities at the (home) workplace or in a place where you implement the Working Conditions Act.

What does my employer reimburse?

Under the Working Conditions Act, every employer is obliged to ensure that employees can do their work safely. If you need reading glasses and do computer work, you are entitled to prescription screen glasses, reimbursed by the employer.

If you come into contact with substances or materials that can release splinters (or loose particles) while working, you are entitled to prescription safety glasses, reimbursed by the employer.

If you are exposed to harmful noise levels on a daily basis, your employer is obliged by the Working Conditions Act to provide professional hearing protection (such as otoplastics).

If it appears that sunlight poses a risk to safety and health while working, your employer is obliged to provide prescription sunglasses.
